About Le Grom

It started with a bad wetsuit
We're a group of Southern Southern California surf families with over 20 kids between us. We tried every toddler wetsuit on the market. The $30 ones online that fell apart in weeks. The $100-plus brand-name ones that were clearly designed for older kids and just scaled down.
Our kids were cold, uncomfortable, and didn't want to stay in the water. We knew there had to be something better. When we couldn't find it, we built it ourselves.
What we're building
Toddler wetsuits that actually fit toddlers, hold up to real kid use, and don't look like generic kid gear. So your kid stays in the water longer, happier, and more often.
Made for the water
Every design decision starts with one question: will this work better for kids in real ocean conditions?
Built to last the season
3mm neoprene, flatlock seams, reinforced knees. We don't cut corners because our own kids wear these suits.
Built by parents
We're not a corporate brand. We're parents who surf with our kids every week and test everything ourselves.
What makes Le Grom different
Most kids' wetsuits start as adult patterns scaled down. That doesn't work. Toddlers have different proportions: shorter torsos, rounder bellies, shorter arms relative to their body.
We designed The Grom Fullsuit from scratch using actual measurements from our own kids. Every seam, every panel, every cut is built around toddler bodies, not miniaturized adult bodies.
The result is a wetsuit that fits, moves, and lasts the way one should.

The journey so far
The idea
After another frustrating beach day with cold, crying kids in bad wetsuits, we decided to design our own. We started researching manufacturers, neoprene suppliers, and toddler body proportions.
Design and testing
Months of sampling, fit testing on our own kids, and iterating on every detail. Four rounds of prototypes before we were satisfied.
Launch
The Grom Fullsuit launched in four colorways (Waves, Sea Glass, Coral, and Ash) across sizes 2T to 6T. Available at le-grom.co.
What's next
We're just getting started. New colorways, expanded size ranges, and more toddler water gear are in the works.
